Registered Massage Therapy
Our Massage Therapists are all registered through the College of Massage Therapists of BC,
Massage therapy is offered at our clinic in Langley at the Langley Events Centre. If you are suffering from muscle tightness, tension from overuse and/or stiff joints our registered massage therapists (RMTs) can help you. RMTs are healthcare professionals that are regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of BC. They use a variety of hands on techniques to manipulate the soft tissues in your body (muscles, connective tissues, joints, tendons and ligaments) in order to provide therapeutic relief, decrease your pain and optimize your health. Massage therapy can aid in the recovery of injured tissues and overused muscles in the body. In addition, RMTs can compliment other forms of therapy including physiotherapy, chiropractic care and acupuncture by speeding up the recovery process and preventing future re-injury.
Why choose one of our Registered Massage Therapists?
At Langley Sports Medicine, our RMTs are highly skilled and continually taking post-graduate courses to learn advanced techniques. They take the time to understand your specific issues and focus their treatments on your problem areas to give you immediate relief. In addition, our RMTs collaborate with the other health practitioners at Langley Sports Medicine if necessary in order to help provide a faster recovery. All of our therapists take prevention seriously and are here to improve your overall health and well being. Our RMTs can help resolve your symptoms including muscle tension with deep tissue and other myofascial techniques. By feeling your tissues and assessing your range of motion, our RMTs are able to determine the root of your problem and treat it to give you immediate relief. Our facility is conveniently located in the Langley Events Centre on the southeast corner of the main building (Gate 6 entrance).

What happens at your first Massage Therapy appointment?
What to expect
Your initial appointment will be at least 45-minutes, with your RMT.
We will ask a lot of questions about your injury—the information you tell us plays a big part in making an accurate diagnosis. Then we’ll do some clinical and “hands-on” assessment to confirm the diagnosis.
We will take time and care at the end of the appointment to explain your problem and a treatment plan—in language you can understand—including why you, why now and, most importantly, what to do about it.
What to wear
Wear appropriate clothing to expose the area requiring treatment. We can lend you shorts, t-shirts, or an examination gown if you need them.
What to bring
Bring any investigations you have (x-ray, CT, MRI, etc). If you have a referral letter from a doctor bring that, too. Also, bring your health plan policy information, if you are a member of one.
What about return appointments?
Subsequent treatments can be 30-, 45- or 60-minutes (depends on the areas treated and the complexity of your injury).
What about payment?
Payment is required at the time of your appointment, we take debit and credit cards. Certain private health insurance plans allow direct payment from the insurer and can be processed, where applicable, at the time of your appointment provided you have brought along your appropriate health plan policy information.
